According to a Pew Research Center 2014 survey...
Adults with at least an Undergraduate Degree have a 3.8% unemployment rate. Adults who did not attend college have 12.2% unemployment rate.

The requirements to be eligible for the Pay It Forward Foundation scholarship include:

  1. Must be admitted to and enrolled at a two- or four-year college or university accredited by one of the U.S.’s six regional accrediting bodies.
  2. Must be receive, accept, and maintain Arkansas Academic (Lottery) Scholarship each year of attending college/university.
  3. If student elects to attend an out of state college/university, the student will be required to adhere to the same standards of Lottery Scholarship. Additionally, the Foundation Scholarship will take into consideration that the student received the Lottery Scholarship even though they forfeited that right by attending an out of state school when determining the up to $500 per semester to cover tuition, fees, and room/board based on the highest priced 4-year public college/university in Arkansas.
  4. When applying for the Foundation Scholarship, the student will be required to submit a 200 word essay on the topic of “What Pay it Forward Means to Me”.
